What the differences mean

Time. A sightseeing cruise takes 1 h to 1 h 20; a dinner cruise 2 h 15 to 2 h 30. The dinners we compare left at 20:30 on every date we checked, after dark for the whole window (sunset 17:36 on 29 October 2026, 17:00 on 28 December 2026).

Commentary. Vedettes de Paris and Vedettes du Pont Neuf each have a live guide in English and French, as the operators state. Vedettes de Paris and Vedettes du Pont Neuf also offer commentary in an app. Bateaux Parisiens gives each passenger an individual audio guide. Bateaux Mouches doesn't say what kind of commentary it has (the operator calls the cruise commented but not whether it is live or recorded), so we show it as not confirmed. Bateaux Mouches says its dinner cruises have no guided commentary; Bateaux Parisiens' dinner page doesn't mention commentary.

Price. The dinner is the price: Viator and Tiqets list €114 to €215 for the dinners against €17 to €21 for sightseeing, per adult, in our data.
